What flower are you?

I am a
Daisy

What Flower
Are You?

"You are just a sweet person. When a friend needs a shoulder to cry on, you are happy to offer yours with a box of tissues as well. Once in awhile, you wish you could be a little more dramatic but then sensibility sets back in and you know that you are perfect the way you are."

Everybody has been taking this quiz, so I'm just gonna jump on the bandwagon. Haven't posted anything in  a while either. Strange: I'm a daisy, who would have known...

Quiz: How long can you survive trapped in your own home?

How Long Could You Survive Trapped In Your Own Home?
Created by OnePlusYou - Free Online Dating

A fun quiz. And I'm posting because I'm bored and have very little else to do. Although even if I could survive 360 days cooped up in my apartment, with nobody to talk to and no access to the outside world. I would before the 360 days were up most definitely use my sami-knife, pick-axe and a rope and risk abseiling down the outside of the building. Otherwise I think I might go quite insane.

My own Sami-knife is a 9" Strømeng. Which I'm quite happy with. Excellent to bring along when going out on a nature hike.

Walking along Akerselva from Vaterland Bridge to Maridalsvatnet

Today I awoke early to take advantage of the good weather. I went down to Vaterland Bridge and followed the Aker River (Akerselva in Norwegian) upstream all the way to Maridalsvatnet (Which is the main source for drinking water in Oslo).

Along the river one can see many 19th Century factory buildings which used the river as a source of power.

The walk along the river was about 8-9 kilometers (and took me about 3 hours )and is quite scenic. As you can see:

A quick walk around Dronningberget

A small park with benches, mushrooms and small pathways. The park also contains a monument in honour of Count Wedel-Jarlsberg and sæterhytten, which used to be an old cafe with a music pavillion (which is soon to be refurbished).

Hiking-trip around Lutvatnet

Today I went to Lutvatnet (a lake) in Østmarka (Oslo, Norway). Here are some pictures from my 3 hour hike. An easy trip, but also quite enjoyable. Definetly recommendable.

My Camelbak

P5070150 P5070157I bought a new backpack for short trips about a week ago. I've been testing it out lately.

It's a Camelbak H.A.W.G.

I'm quite staisfied with it. It contains a 3 liter hydration pack and has a pocket for my ipod and has enough room for other gear needed for a short hike.

It's been raining...

P5010115Photo of "Lektern" at Aker Brygge, Oslo.

I went for a walk today. I don't have a lawn to move so I haven't been able to demonstrate against the workers international day in the customary manner today.

Instead I went out to enjoy the rain. It's been wonderful.
